Alisha completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa in May 2013, and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2014. After splitting her articles with a criminal lawyer and a litigation firm downtown Toronto, Alisha has focused on the resolution of civil, commercial, and family law matters without protracted litigation. Alisha understands the financial and emotional toll of litigation on clients and is solution oriented. Best efforts are made to tailor legal services to the needs of each client.
Over the past 18 years, Alisha has also studied, practised, and taught yoga and meditation. Since 2018, Alisha has been a weekly volunteer tutor with the Pathways to Education program. Alisha also enjoys cooking, long hikes with her dog, and sharing mindfulness practices with her family, friends, and colleagues. Alisha is working with other professionals to incorporate wellness tools into the legal community. Through the Toronto Lawyers Association, Alisha has offered CPD programming on mindfulness and law. Alisha believes that mindfulness training has the potential to innovate the practice of law and improve our ability to resolve disputes.
